Children In Need

On Friday 18th November the school of F.J.S participated in game fun for Children in Need. We had to make a game and then half of the school go around going on people’s games that they made, however they did have to make a small donation like 10 or 20 p. After one half of the school has gone to play games the other goes around playing other peoples games. We managed to raise £600 from playing each others games, having non uniform and a cake sale! All of the profits went to Children In Need. After school there was two girls called Hetty and Olivia who sold loads of baking things such as cookies, cakes etc. they managed to raise £71.

On Thursday 20th October 2011 the whole of the school will be participating in a disco called the spooky disco. There will be two different discos, one for the Years 3 and 4 and the other disco will be for the Years 5 and 6. They will have a DJ called DJ Hannam. Their DJ has been a DJ for about 3 years now coming up to 4 years.

There will be a lot more discos at the school as well as the Christmas disco the celebrity disco and the valentine disco and lastly the leavers disco. The leavers disco is for when the people are moving years so it will be open to years 3 4 5 6. The years 3 and 4 disco this week will be at 6:15 – 7:30. The years 5 and 6 will be at 7:45 until 9:00.

I bet the whole school is very exited to be there in 2 days but not only that but maybe to hear the amazing music played by DJ Hannam.

Pedometer Challenge!

For the last few weeks the whole school have been using a pedometer to count how many steps that they do every day. Then once a day the teacher would reset them back to zero and then put the score on the pedometer website, (Global Children’s Challenge.)The pedometer website calculates the scores and does an average of the whole class’s scores. We are all trying to beat the other class’s scores.
